I applied through university. I interviewed at Sawtooth Software
Interview
I interviewed on campus at BYU for about a half hour and then had a couple of brief over the phone conversations with a few people in management. They then brought me on sight for a full day interview that consisted of meeting with various engineers and members of management about lots of different topics. Everything from Database design, to HTML and CSS, to Java as a language, to design patterns. HR went over the benefits associated with the position. It was a long day, and by then end my brain felt kinda melted but they really look at breadth and depth of your experience. They also had me do a presentation where I was given 20 minutes to teach the group about anything. Something that I was passionate about, a project I had worked on, how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, anything.

Question 1
Most people we're interviewing have similar backgrounds and experience to you. What's something that separates you from them that maybe we don't see on your resume.
I applied online. I interviewed at Sawtooth Software (Provo, UT) in Sep 2019
Interview
Just a quick half-hour with the Product Manager and a couple of team members. For the most part, they just asked about points on my resume and my background.
They were very friendly.
My only real complaint is that I felt the interview went well, but I didn't get an offer and it seems they have no interest in wasting 5 minutes to tell me how I could improve for future interviews.
