Interview
The usual. You submit online and your applications goes in a whole. You don't hear from HR. When you finally get a call, months later, they don't respond when you follow up. You finally get a call but only because someone quit and all of a sudden, they need you. If you're from G, A, F, L or MS, they treat you better because you're an A employee, and HR gets bonus points for hooking you in.

Question 1
I was lucky because I didn't have to be interviewed by HQ. It has happened that you can get an offer from SJ, only to have the offer revoked because HQ disagrees, based on what school you went to and what company you worked for. They are completely hung up on credentials.
Approximately 3 rounds - phone interview, on-site hiring manager and team interview, exec interview (VP, SVP level). Helps to work via internal recruiters to best position yourself
