I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SSM Health (Centralia, IL) in Nov 2017
Interview
I received a call from the supervisor for the position the day after I applied and arranged a date that worked for both of us to do the interview. I arrived at the hospital front lobby, asked the front desk to call her extension which she had given me. She arrived and took me to her office and asked the required questions for SSM Health interviews. The supervisor gave me time to ask questions and answered completely and honestly. When complete with that portion, the supervisor left and 2 nurses came in to do the peer interview portion since I had still expressed interest in the position. The nurses asked me the required questions of SSM Health as well. After the question portion was complete the nurses gave me time to ask questions, which they also answered completely and honestly. Once that portion of the interview was complete, the supervisor gave me her phone number to call once I had decided on a date that would work for job shadowing.

Question 1
They asked me how I handle the situation if I am having a conflict with a co worker.
Took 10 minutes on the phone, asked one question. It was a very easy process, I’m assuming they hire everyone for permanent positions because they are short staffed. Everyone is leaving who has experience.
You get contacted by the recruiter who works with the department director. You would interview with the director and often an interview with a few of the staff from the department.
