Applied to a store that was just about to open. Store floor was used as space for interviews with multiple tables setup with interviewer/manager. Lasted no longer than 10-15 minutes. Asked typical interview questions (tell me about yourself, what are your strengths, how do you stay organized). They also asked about availability because this will determine if you will be able to attend training days.
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
