Applied online in December. Was invited to an in-person interview in January. The overall process and communication were straightforward. There were 2 interviewers, both of them are engineers. The questions covered behaviour (why us, why this role) and technical (explain how you would design a component, what are the limitations of this design etc).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions about how I would use FEM to model the component, what boundary conditions, material models etc.
And behaviour questions like why join the company, how do I align with the company's values.
I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Blacksburg, VA) in Sep 2013
Interview
Interview focused more on technical and personality type questions than career oriented ones. The interview style was two on one and both interviewers were laid back and friendly. When asking technical questions they wanted the simplest answer possible. The whole process took about 30 minutes. AEC seemed like a nice company to work for, but they are only based out of Indy.

Question 1
None of the questions were too difficult. The technical questions were pretty basic and open ended.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Bengaluru) in Jan 2025
Interview
Turbine based questions: design stategies, pressure maps, components of turbine, types of turbine.
Earlier projects, questions based on CV. All the major questions were are on turbines only its diagrams and major components and valves in turbine.

Question 1
Behavioral round was quite off track to deal with, I couldn't get the right way to answer those questions. Technical round was easy.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Derby, England) in Jul 2024
Interview
Interview was good, asked all the standard questions and asked specific questions by my CV. The technical question was tricky but they were just looking for how you approved the problem rather than finding the correct answer.
