I had an interview with a recruiter recently for Technical Lead. The interview was a casual discussion focusing on my background and the role’s requirements—nothing too technical. The conversation seemed positive.
I sent a follow-up email after waiting a reasonable amount of time, but nothing.
It’s honestly frustrating because I invested my time and effort into the process. A simple acknowledgment or update, even if it’s a “no,” would have been appreciated. Silence feels unprofessional and leaves candidates hanging.
If this is how the process starts, it makes me wonder about the company’s communication style overall. I’m still interested in the opportunity, but this lack of response has definitely left me questioning their respect for candidates’ time.
Recruiter was very helpful and cooperative and so was the technical team.
I had to reschedule interview and team was more than happy to accomodate. Interview process was smooth and were interviewer was polite and helpful.
