      Senior Mobile Developer Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RBC (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2019

      Interview

A typical process for a big bloated company. Didn't get to talk to HR or anything like this. Just applied online and in around 2 weeks got an onsite invitation to come for the interview to speak with two directors. They don't even ask for your availability, nothing like that. Just tell you the date and time, like it doesn't matter if you're available or not 'cause they're so big and important. Anyway, I got to the interview, talked for an hour with two directors, they asked me standard technical stuff about patterns, generics and things like that. Then asked me some experience questions and to write something on a white board. After that - nothing for 3 weeks. After around 3 weeks I wrote them myself and got a rejection letter right away with some standard impersonal reply. They don't even bother to follow up after your interview. All this felt like what those companies usually do - pretend to go through the hiring process and then hire somebody else.
