      Interview

I was contacted via LinkedIn by a ClaraBridge recruiter. We had a screening call which went well. Then, an interview with the hiring manager was scheduled. That interview was held about a week later and went well, too. Well enough that the recruiter contacted me via email within hours to say that they wanted to move forward with the process and have follow-up interviews. She then asked for me to provide my schedule & availability. I provided my availability information, and heard ... *nothing*. I sent a follow-up inquiry, and heard ... *nothing*. I sent another follow-up, and heard ... *nothing*. Yes, you guessed it - GHOSTED ! If a company changes their mind about an active candidate (for whatever reason), then it would be proper to just let the candidate know so that they can move on in their own endeavors. But - to simply cease communication; fail to inform or update changes in interest/status; and not respond at all to direct inquiries - that is just plain unprofessional and reflects very poorly upon Clarabridge.

      Interview

Mix feeling of the process: HR team works very well and very nice and they advocate and tell me that hiring process is not determined by any specific interviewer: It would be a team decision by all your interviewers. Overall interivew was smooth and not difficult. Some interviewers are nice but some are not. And almost every interivewer would be late for interviews. And the fact is, whether you could move to next step would be determined by one specific interviewer, for example, your direct hiring manager. And if you receive message of moving to next step from HR team, do not be happy first, because there is chance that the specific interviewer can withdraw his/her previous decision on your interview result suddenly by telling you a lot of interesting "reasons" to show you that you are not the perfect one they look for. Australian interviewers are all nice and even you may answer something wrong, they will guide you or be very patient to let you finish your answer. Same thing does not apply here in singapore. Some interview questions are very useless and old-style as you never can tell whether this candidate really want the job or can do the job well based on his/her answer. This is how a company does their interivew which experience management is their main business(customer, employees etc.) . The overall feeling is, not everyone inside this company really cares about experience, regardless of levels. There is room for improvement by having right interviewers/employees.
