I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Pushly (Kansas City, MO) in Sep 2021
Interview
I spoke to the HR Manager and the CTO. Both were extremely warm and friendly and I could tell they were interested in finding a good fit both ways.
The first interview was more in-depth than I expected and touched on basic social interview questions (greatest achievements/obstacles, etc.) and I was directed to the CTO shortly after.
CJ was great and very encouraging. We spoke about my current job experience and the type of employee they were looking for. I got a good idea od expectations and company culture.
The next step would have been an in-person interview with a whiteboard test, but I was not asked back for that. I think it was the best decision for both parties and it was affirming to know that my instincts in the interview were correct.
Overall, the interview process was informative and mutually benefitial.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the greatest achievement of your career?
Do you have experience with SQL command writing?
They also wanted to know my experience with AWS.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Pushly (Kansas City, MO) in Aug 2019
Interview
There were several meetings. First over the phone with a recruiter, then 2 different Skype meetings with managers from the team. Finally there was a third face to face on site that included a demonstration of a online platform. Very standard everyone was very nice. Took about a month and a half.
One area that was frustrating, in the beginning of the process, I was quoted that the target comp was lower than what I was requesting but was encouraged to continue on bc they might be able to meet my current level. They went as far to say that they had talked this over and my requested comp would be approved, but then I did not get the offer. It was a lot to go though and I felt dragged along.
