      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Praxent in Dec 2021

      Interview

First round with CEO through a referral. Friendly and interesting conversation. Asked to take a kind of personality assessment called Culture Index. Second round interview was originally scheduled for 2 hours but was reduced to 90 minutes due to scheduling conflicts. I was asked to prepare some material for the interview which was never discussed. Standard panel questions for this stage. Odd thing to me was the lack of introductions or a "getting to know you" stage of the interview, and it's overall hurriedness. Interview also had some basic developer questions as well; nothing any dev-turned-manager wouldn't be able to discuss easily. Got a pleasant formal rejection about a week later.

We're sorry to read that you may have had a neutral experience as we aim to provide quality experiences to all of our candidates and will ensure that we make introductions and don't allow for candidates to feel "rushed" through an interview. Thank you for your feedback.

      I interviewed at Praxent

      Interview

Recruiter reaches out on LinkedIn. I had never heard of the company so I scheduled a conversation with HR. Received a generic rejection email a few days later. No insight as to why I was rejected after a fairly pleasant initial conversation. Again, I didn't actively apply to the role and they had reached out to me first.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Praxent in Dec 2024

      Interview

The interview process dragged on for two months—longer than usual but not unheard of, especially around the holidays. Most interviews were the standard mix of technical and cultural screening. However, my final interview is why I’m writing this review—to warn you to stay away. Two people were on the call. One never spoke. The other spent most of the time noisily eating soup with their head down, barely listening. They repeated questions because they weren’t paying attention. I’ve never felt less valued in a meeting, let alone an interview. At the end, they casually mentioned there wasn’t actually a position—these interviews were just for when they might create one. Stringing candidates along for months only to admit there’s no job, then sending a generic rejection email, is dishonest and unprofessional. Avoid this company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience—we’re genuinely sorry to hear how disappointing and frustrating it was. What you described does not reflect the standards we expect from anyone involved in our hiring process. We regret that you were treated in a way that felt disrespectful, especially during such an important interaction. There is no excuse for a lack of professionalism in an interview, and your experience has prompted us to review how we conduct final-stage interviews and who participates in them. Candidates deserve our full attention, transparency, and respect—always. We understand how disheartening it is to invest time in a process that feels misleading, and we’re taking steps to improve how we communicate opportunities and timelines going forward. While this experience fell short, your feedback helps us do better. - Praxent Talent Team
