      Product Designer Interview

      Jul 26, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Munich, Bavaria
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Personio (Munich, Bavaria) in Apr 2018

      Interview

The interview process was very smooth. First, I got an email from the recruiter inviting me for an informal phone call to discuss the opportunity in more details. Second, I had a Skype call with the design team (Design Lead + another Product Designer). And then they flew me in for a few more interviews: portfolio review, peer interview, cultural fit interview and the founder interview. I got an offer the next day. The recruiter was great since the beginning. Very friendly, professional and responsive. The interview process itself was super transparent and fast (about 3 weeks from the first email to the offer). I've started working on the company recently and couldn't be any happier. The first couple of days can be a bit overwhelming, but I was already expecting it. After all, it is a fast growing startup and things move fast around here (as it should!). People are also very friendly and will do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Cool environment and office.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Personio (Munich, Bavaria) in Jun 2022

      Interview

I had a call with an HR who gave me a brief about the position and the company and then after a week they scheduled my round with 2 designers. The interview was suppose to be 45 mins long. The round was divided into 3 categories - 5-10 minutes introduction, 25 minutes conversation to show 1 or 2 projects (including follow-up questions from our designers), 5-10 minutes Q&A - your time to ask questions). Everything went really well. The interviewers were great and I had a great interaction with them as well. But a week later, I received a mail from HR mentioning that Following the interview and after discussing current team needs and business requirements, we have decided not to move forward with the hiring process at this point in time. I didn't get the proper review of what went wrong. I really hope if they could provide a detailed feedback so someone can work on it and went across next time.

      Interview

A 5 out of 5 recruitment process 🙌🏼 The recruitment process with Personio is probably one of the best that I have experienced before. The overall communication with the recruiter assigned to my process was great, she took care of every stage of process, giving me detailed feedback and helping me to get ready for every interview. The process consists on 4 stages: a recruitment call, a portfolio walkthrough, manager interview, and a last round of interviews with peers and the CPO. You can also expect to have some follow ups with your recruiter between stages to get feedback and understand the goal of the next step. Overall, all the people involved in the process is pretty open and transparent, and I believe it’s pretty cool to have the chance to interact with people from other departments to get to know their perspective of the company as well.
