Online Partner interview questions

The interviewer told me he was new to the role and had just started. Prior to taking upon this role he had been a frontend engineer. He promised me a very large salary and had me go through the whole process just to fire me the next day. No explanation as to why and when I asked he simply replied that he wasn't obliged to do so. Probably the easiest money I've ever made in my life to be fair but also completely unnecessary since I of course had said no to other positions in order to take upon this role. Felt like they really don't value their coworkers or cared much for how they treated people. A very negative experience all in all.
