I applied for the role in January, I received the following email:
"Nice one octo-friend. We’ve received your application for the Junior Frontend Developer. Thank you for your interest in Octopus Energy - we’re really chuffed that you’d consider joining our team.
Yes, this is an automated email so we’d like to make sure it’s a useful one!
What to expect now you’ve submitted your application?
Our Talent Team looks at every single application that comes through so we assure you that a real human will review your application carefully.
We aim to get back to everyone as quickly as possible, this may take up to 2 weeks (or sometimes even 3 or 4 weeks as our volume of applications have increased recently).
And you’ll always hear back from us - we promise everyone gets a yes or no answer, even if it’s a disappointing ‘sorry your application wasn’t quite right this time’ (and we are really sorry about those ones, we’ve all been in that position ourselves).

They did, in fact, ghost me. Don't write a lovely email like that and get peoples hopes up if you are going to ghost.

Interview was 4 stages (excluding the recruiter screening). Each interview, Michael the excellent recruiter laid out what was expected. First had a call with the lead developer, then a technical task, then a technical interview and finally a culture and meet the director of the are I was interviewing for. Each step, everyone was respectful of timings, the questions to me were conversational but detail orientated. Great experience.
