I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Nov 2011
Interview
Interview was with three employees, 2 managers and 1 lead analyst. It was not a very professional interview as two of them were on laptops during the majority of the interview. The questions that I was asked were very elementary and not very clear. The interview did not seem to be planned at all.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman
Interview
Very good interview process. One of the better ones I've ever went too. Although that will be the highlight of management from there on out, if hired. They would like to know your communication skills mostly. Show confidence in talking about speaking comfortably and you'll impress them, as this is important to the work you'll be doing.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
I had three interviews. One phone with a recruiter, one onsite with a hiring manager, and one final with the customer team. The interview process was relatively uneventful, the position was for a fairly common help desk role with the govt.
