I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NewDay (London, England) in Sep 2024
Interview
Initial call with "Talent Acquisition", called at a different time than arranged. Take home coding exercise to be completed in own time and put on Github. Then technical interview with 2 engineers.
Like a couple of others have said on here, this was the weirdest most bizarre interview I've ever had. Very strange attitude from the main interviewer, almost confrontational. Dismissive of my experience with barely any followup questions. Steered the conversation to purposely make me feel uncomfortable rather than a conversation to try and extract the information they were looking for. No idea how they think this will tell them what they need to know but lessons in how to interview people are probably necessary. The second interviewer barely said anything and I was left wondering why they'd bothered to invite me for interview at all.

Initial call with recruiter. It was clear in terms of what role skill demand is and how the interview stages will be. Had first round as CV Run through. The intend was to understand what have you done which can align with this role.
