      Junior Analyst Interview

      Oct 15, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mu Sigma (New York, NY) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Applied online. Received an email awhile later asking if I was still interested for me to send them my GPA, graduation date, etc. They then had me take an online test with a bunch of math-type questions and synthesize an online video. Finally, I had a Skype video about a week later that lasted for about an hour.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked a word problem about dropping a brick out of the window of a building and trying to figure out what floor to drop it off of without it breaking.

      Junior Analyst Interview

      Oct 22, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Mu Sigma (Bengaluru) in Oct 2018

      Interview

The interview was fairly straightforward. A short "get-to-know-you" section followed by thirty minutes of questions about how you would add value to a made-up company of interest. An analytical focus with your response centered around how you would use data in your plan would serve you well. The interviewer wants to help you succeed and will help guide you.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you help a movie theater increase revenue?

      Junior Analyst Interview

      Jul 31, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Almeirim
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Mu Sigma (Almeirim) in Jul 2018

      Interview

The first round had 72 mcqs to be solved in 60 mins. 40-45 of them were personality based questions while rest of them were from quant, verbal and logical and were of sandbox difficulty. Looked like their primary aim was to conduct a psychometric test and the rest of the questions in between were just to distract a candidate and make him make a mistake.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If you have two roads, one of them is explored and paved while the other is untrodden, which one you'd choose?
