      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      Apr 10, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Motive (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2018

      Interview

Extremely fast and transparent. Got set up with a typical phone screen -- just resume review, explaining relevant experience and tasks, and me asking more about the company, culture, etc.. Didn't even need to wait a day to schedule an on-site as we connected and vibed well, and the recruiter invited me to an on-site at the end of the call. We scheduled a date and time for such a meeting, and had the on-site a week later. The on-site was very straightforward, comfortable, and thoughtful. I met with 3 members of the team (including the previous recruiter I spoke to on the phone). Each member had questions that delved more into my previous experience, my goals, what I could do to contribute, and how they can help me advance my career, and they all answered my questions with wonderfully detailed answers as well. Overall, it was an extremely formative experience. Heard back a couple of days later saying they all liked me and would love for me to join their team, but there was a slight hiccup that needed to be solved before bringing me on. It definitely wasn't needed to be explained to me, so it was a gesture I truly appreciated since it kept me in on the loop and allowed me the flexibility to navigate though my other options. It was solved within 2 weeks and I got extended an offer which I immediately accepted. It was a combination of potential growth (at the company, and for myself professionally), the people, culture, and the transparency during the process that pushed me to accepting on the spot. And months in, I am glad I did.

      Interview

Interviewed all three rounds for the San Francisco role. It’s a ghost job, they aren’t looking to hire anyone and wasted my time. Job is up for stakeholders to feel like the company is growing.
