Recruiter reached out via email. Had a call with the recruiter and they explained the roles that they were hiring for. We found several things that interested me and then scheduled the first round interview. I filled out information on Facebook’s career website and did some practice problems.
Two weeks later, I had an interview with live coding via coderpad. It felt like the interview went well and I logged in to faction careers afterwards to follow up with my interviewer.
A week went by with no response. Logged back into the Facebook careers site and it still showed “your interview just concluded and you will hear from our team soon.”
I sent an email to my recruiter and got no response. I waited another week and sent another email. Waited one more week and sent one more email. A few weeks later I Reached out to a referral at the company and he said he’d look into it. A few days later, my recruiter got back to me and said that they decided not to move forward.
Not sure what happened but I feel extremely disrespected by this process. I can handle rejection, but ghosting me for almost a month and a half feels terrible.
