I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Memorial Hermann Health System (Houston, TX) in Mar 2018
Interview
I did attend prematch day. I applied through the Graduate Nurse Residency on the website. You are contacted by a recruiter who gathers/requests more information from you. I received an invitation to TMC match day to my first choice about 7 days before match day (You list 2 locations as your preference and one unit preference for each MH location). I arrived 45 min before my interview to park and checked in 25-30 min early. Parking and finding the place was difficult but MH staff was helpful directing me once I got to the correct building. It was a panel interview with a manager, education and current RN on unit with 2 other candidates at the same time-- this is now uncommon for the majority of the units. It was very laid back. For about 30 min they asked questions then gave us the floor to ask as many questions as we wanted (about another 25-30min). It was really cool and very much appreciated that they took the time to be candid and upfront.
