      Technical Brand Manager Interview

      May 6, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Nashville, TN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mars (Nashville, TN) in Apr 2022

      Interview

They first make you do a screening video interview by yourself, answering questions on a screen. Was kind of weird, but I guess nice you can do it on your own time. Then I was fortunate to make it to the second round, which happened really fast. I had two separate two hour online interviews with 2 people in each interview. They essentially said your interviewing on this time and date, hope you can make it.... They then use the STAR method when interviewing you, which is kind of also odd as you need to reflect back on situations and replay things in your head on how you got results, rather than the results themselves. I thought there was a 50 / 50 chance they would move me on to the next round, was happy with some of the responses I made, some I think could of been done better. I did ask the question to the team at the end of the online interview what they liked best about Mars and what is one thing they would change. Once lady said she hated that question (about what you would change)_, so don't ask that one because heaven forbid you might want to know what might not be going right over there.... I am sure it is a perfect place, you know.... I wrote 4 thank you emails to the interviewers a day later, not one person responded to me. I got a generic email 5 days later saying they didnt pick me to move on. To me this was not very classy at all. I invested atleast 6 hours of time into the video interview, online interview, and prep work and I can't even get a human being to offer me more in-depth feedback or curtesy of saying thanks for the note, you will hear back soon, or have a rejection email from an actual person than workplace generic email.... With that being said, if that is the type of people that is employed there, I am glad they didn't pick me. I wouldn't fit in......
