This is by far the most negative interview experience I have had.
After the coder pad and Technical Interview, I was told I was selected for the final round with the Directors of the Search and Recommendations team. One of the directors seemed not interested and in most parts of the interview, there was a silence which was awkward.
I got a call on the same day from one of the managers and he asked me to hop on a video interview in 15mins. This was technical in fact for 30mins and he said it will be the last round. Then the same day I got a call from the director who said he got a positive response about me and HR will contact me for salary negotiations.
After a day I received an update from HR that they would want to have another round of interview with another manager of the team. It was supposed to be a quick chat but he asked me few questions about machine learning Quality procedures and I answered. He asked me same questions as in the previous interview, where I got a positive response but , this manager felt that my experience doesn't match their requirement and he was very rude. Finally, I got rejection after a week.
The whole process took 1 month and I had cleared all rounds and they gave a positive response and finally felt my experience did not match, wasting my time. The interview process was so unprofessional and they had no idea what they want. I would have definitely rejected the offer as I do not want to work with such a company.
