      Product Designer Interview

      Apr 10, 2026
      Anonymous employee
      New York, NY
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at MacKenzie-Childs (New York, NY)

      Interview

1st:This first step is usually a video call with a Recruiter or the Design Lead. Since MacKenzie-Childs has a very specific "design vocabulary", this call is less about your resume and more about your aesthetic alignment. 2nd:This is the "make or break" stage. Unlike generic design tests, MacKenzie-Childs often gives a "Conditioned Challenge", a prompt that forces you to work within their established brand pillars while introducing something new.
