I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Lyft in Dec 2021
Interview
I was ghosted by my recruiter whose name starts with a D after the onsite interview. Everything was positive until then - she told me they were moving quickly which lined up with my timeline since I had just lost my job, was actively interviewing and had another offer lined up that I needed to respond to, which they knew about the entire time. After the interview loop I was told I would have an answer by end of the week/Monday at the latest which did not happen, so I sent two follow up emails Tuesday and Wednesday with no reply, so I emailed the RC to finally get my recruiters attention to which she told me they had feedback and she would let me know soon. Never heard from her since, and that was about a month ago. I understand things happen, and I even told her if she needed more time to please let me know. I ended up accepting my other offer later than I could have, which pushed my start date with them a week later. Again, I had lost my job, which they knew, and this caused me to lose a week of pay which could have been avoided. I feel like my time has been completely disrespected and if it is standard practice for Lyft to keep their candidates in the dark and completely ghost them, that is not a company I would like to be apart of.
