The interview process initially seemed organized and professional. It began with an introductory screening call, followed by interviews with five people across Engineering over three separate sessions. The scheduling moved quickly, and the final interview was completed less than a month after the initial screening call.
However, communication broke down completely after the final interview. I reached out multiple times for updates and received only one brief response stating there would be a delay because senior leadership was out of office the following week. After that, there was no further personal communication.
More than seven weeks (!) after completing the final interview, I ultimately received a generic rejection email stating they had decided to move forward with another candidate.
Had this decision been communicated in a reasonable timeframe, I would have understood and appreciated the transparency. Instead, the extended silence and lack of follow-up after the full interview process left a very negative impression. A company’s interview process reflects how it values people and communication, and unfortunately this experience did not reflect well on the organization.
