      Manager, New Opportunity Incubation Interview

      Jul 20, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at LiveRamp (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Applied online and got a call for initial HR screening (resume plus usual questions, what do you know about the company etc.). Another telephone interview from someone in the same group. The questions were from my previous work experiences, if hired, how I will get acquainted with my role in initially days etc. A case or scenario around the job profile (exploring possibilities in sectors other than adtech). Prepared a presentation and a day was scheduled for the onsite (interview by 3 people and a presentation attended by 3). On the day of onsite I was informed that the interviewers were not available so it was rescheduled. On actual day of onsite, there were 3 rounds of half an hour each with hiring manager and other team members. Pretty regular questions around resume, the case and some behavioral ones. I have few suggestions for the entire process: 1) Give a shorter case study (2 page synopsis) which can be turned in 2-3 days as a submission not a full fledged assignment 2) Be prompt in providing updates and moving candidates to next rounds if you like them 3) Do not cancel couple of hours before the onsite schedule, some people may have take a day off since the onsite is 3 hours long plus commute 4) Internal employees who are being considered for the same position should not be on interview panel 5) When you ask for feedback, it is expected that you provide some rational feedback and reason for not proceeding further. Inputs or ideas on case presentation and content can help candidates. Two-way feedback would be much appreciated, specially after weeks of engagement

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Scenarios around your current role, if you were the CEO what would you change in your present company, what do you know about LiveRamp, your take on which other industries can be explored for data on-boarding etc. beyond the adtech space.
