I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Greystones) in Feb 2019
Interview
I applied via the online application process which was fairly straightforward and didn't take too long. After a week I was invited to interview in the store with the manager and a HR rep. Interview took about 30 mins and was fairly informal and very friendly. The interview took place on a Friday and I got a call on the following Tuesday to say that pending a verbal reference I would be offered the job. I got email confirmation on the Thursday. Three weeks total from online application.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
