Interview
Before any interview, try to understand more about the company as well as the job role for which you are applying. You can do a quick online search, go through the company website or read more on job search websites. If you know who your interviewer is, you can also gather relevant information about them regarding their education, specialisations and work experience. This may enable you to interact with them confidently.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Khoros (Bangalore Rural) in Dec 2023
Interview
It was a good experience. They focused on my troubleshooting skills. I had to go through 3 rounds - HR screening, technical, and managerial. In the HR round, they asked basic questions. In the technical round, most of the questions were about Linux, networking, JVM, heap dump, and thread dump.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is a heap dump? What is a thread dump? What is the 'du' command used for? What does the 'wc' command do? How do you take a thread dump? How did you troubleshoot a slow server? How do you handle outages, etc.?
First basic round was with HR who is very friendly and co-operative. But the interview panel was worst, their knowledge was basic and had no idea what questions needs to be asked or understanding of complex things.
One interviewer got tired asking only the basic linux commands. Interview went on for 15 min!
Like if you are not bothered about taking the interview, just dont. Dont waste people's time.
