I applied through university. I interviewed at KPMG
Interview
Two 30 minute interviews, one with a partner, other with a manager. Mainly behavioural with the manager, with a few situational questions. The one with the partner was conversational, led by the partner.
Applied online first of all. Then was invited for an online assessment, involving mathematic and written questions. Next had a video recorded process - a few prerecorded questions and had 2 minutes to answer each. Then was invited to the Launch Pad Event, where candidates for all roles were assessed, over 200 people. Started at 8:30 to 5pm so quite a long day but not full of intense interviews. First we had an introduction, then we had group exercises that last around 2 hours which was quite relaxed but you knew you were being assessed. Then we had a break, and then split into groups for which assessment we had next. There was a written task that lasted around an hour where we had to type up a report on an imaginary company, similar to what we would do in the job. There was a one-on-one interview which was also relaxed as it was in a room with around 30 other candidates, competency based with an employee from the office you applied for, lasting around 30-45 minutes. The day ended with a fun activity that encouraged us even if we weren't successful. Received the result of the day within 2 working days. I did pass the criteria for the Launch Pad day but another candidate performed better so I didn't receive an offer.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG in Mar 2019
Interview
KPMG came on campus to interview us for summer audit internships a bit over a year in advance (so a summer 2021 internship would have the interview in spring 2020); two back to back interviews, one with a manager and one with a partner. The manager one was more to get to know you and your personality while the partner one was more structured going thorugh the resume. Really enjoyed the entire process and had a great time sharing my experiences with them. Heard back within two weeks by phone from the recruiter and had my interviewers (as well as the campus rep) reach out after I got the offer to answer questions--very friendly people at KPMG. They offered the best interview experience out of all the Big 4 firms
