Interview
I knew a friend who got me hired on as a contracted employee. I was contracted for some time before interviewing and being offered a position in the company. The interview was the standard S.T.A.R. interview every time and followed that format very closely.

Interview
Brief phone screening with HR. Asked for details on rotating job schedule advertised in job description because I can't work 3rd shift. I was told she would follow-up with me as she didn't have any details. The follow-up included what the hiring mgr's response was which was still confusing as it was stated that all 3 shifts rotate every 2 months but then also states that they try to accomodate your needs and that some people work to chose only a single shift. Well, that's clear as mud but I took it to mean that you may or may not get any particular shift on any given rotation and asked HR again for clarification but got no reply and figured I was dropped from further consideration. I thought this was rude and unprofessional to not follow-up with me to get an answer to my question.
