I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Jane Street
Interview
Used online collaborative text pad tool to produce solution to problem. Some communication problems, but by and large, all interactions with company were prompt and pleasant. Highly technical interview, so would recommend revising the basics of 1) operating system fundamentals (inodes and sh*t), standard algorithms and data structures (won't get asked to write a hash table, but you better know how to), and more general technical topics. Interviewer allowed me to choose the language I wrote in; do not expect to be forced to write OCaml

Question 1
Graph based problem involving non-graph input and basic data structure analysis
it was nice. He was very kind and talkative. he explained the problem quite clearly. It was good experience. Will apply again definitely. Jane street is very good. You guys shud apply too
Fast and efficient, everyone is friendly.
The interview was fully techinical, no background or behavioral questions for me. The style is very collaborative — asking for hint in a proper way would be considered a plus I guess.
First round was online, one round of 1hr class design questions.
Given a class interface, you need to implement it with another given class interface. My question is like a general tree question.
You kinda need to go far enough to get to next round, so if you're too slow or have trouble solving easier parts, you cannot make it. I didn't move on.
