I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Jane Street (London, England) in Feb 2024
Interview
Video calls followed by on sites, but didn't make it past the first video interview. Had the first interview pretty quickly after applying. Interview lasted about 30-40 minutes. Rejection followed within 2 days.

Interview
After applying they emailed back very quickly to set up an interview on the phone with one of their traders. It is a short interview for only about 30 minutes where they ask mainly probability questions about dice and cards.

Question 1
What is the probability that the product of two dice rolls is a square number?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Jane Street (London, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
I had to do a problem as I applied (blotto) and I passed that first stage. Next stage was a phone interview, in which we first discussed a problem I was asked to do prior to the interview, and a new problem in probability.

Question 1
We first talked about the blotto problem. Then did a classic probability question, with Markov chains. Had to make realisation about each step being independent and then turn part of the question into a geometric sum. He led me through quite smoothly.
