Phone screening with basic questions, then an interview with two Engineers. Interviewers were friendly and easy going. The interview focused more on behavioral questions, with only one technical question.

      Graduate Process Engineer Interview

      May 12, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Warrington, North West England, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Jacobs (Warrington, North West England, England) in Dec 2023

      Interview

After setting up an account and completing the initial application I was invited to complete a solo interview, They asked 4 main questions but gave 3 chances to redo if need be, questions like why Jacobs and standard questions about why you chose this particular role and how important is sustainability. I was invited to attend a in person interview and felt the interview was going well. I was interviewed by a Senior Principal Engineer and another person who had been on the graduate scheme. They asked questions like what safety systems would you put in place for a nuclear plant and also gave a calculation to do. Also standard behavioural questions.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Jacobs (Warrington, North West England, England) in Dec 2021

      Interview

Began the interview process in October/November with a video "podcast" about myself, where I talked to the camera. Was given unlimited restarts but was not given any indication of this before hand, causing a lot of unnecessary worry. I also had to complete a number of gamified assessments from arctic shores, which consisted of a number of games ranging from memory tests to reaction speed tests... utterly pointless. The final interview process (in December) was a little scary as every time I answered a question they dug a little deeper until I couldn't answer. However, when I asked when I would hear back from them, I was told it would be 4 weeks at the absolute earliest, a fairly large wait. It is now February and I am not only yet to hear back from them, but my email asking for an update was completely ignored. Extremely disappointing and rude considering I had put so much time into this as well as interning there previously.
