Submitted my resume at a hiring event in my University. Got contacted for a phone interview in 2 weeks. Phone interview was 45 min with questions about my PhD work. Got called for an onsite interview at the end of my Phone interview.
Onsite interview was full day (8-4pm) with 6-7 different people and a 1 hour thesis presentation. Common questions were
1) What was the most challenging part about your PhD project. Give specific examples
2) Describe an instrument/technique you used with the principle and equations involved

Process begins with a phone screen with recruiter, followed by hiring manager discussion, then onsite interviews consisting of several one-on-one sessions, where candidates are usually expected to deliver a presentation.
It was pretty straightforward overall. They mainly asked questions about my resume, previous work experience, and the projects and research work I completed during my graduate studies. The conversation was conversational and focused on understanding my background and technical experience.
