Sent you a quiz via text. Then person started doing 1 on 1 interviews. Those who showed up after the interview time started were turned away. Only when asked about hours did the interviewer say their organization was looking for people who weren't going to change their hours.I am uncertain as to why Instacart does not tell individuals what they are looking for before they have you come in and waste their time. Before putting in the hours I would be available I stated that I was an educator so I was available anytime during the summer but once school started I would have to change my schedule. I was told that schedule changes weren't accepted. Therefore, I put down that I was available Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays. Not until I filled out the quiz and one person completed a 1 on 1 interview did the individual doing the interviews pull me aside and tell me they were only looking for people who could work weekdays during the day. The interviewer was submissive and unwelcoming to say the least.

The only interview is when you fill out the online application about your criminal and driving history. There isn't a phone interview and there isn't an in person interview. A background check is done, and for me I had to be on the wait list for at least 4 to 6 months before a spit opened up for me. So that was a huge downside.
