I have been working at Instacart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers: Incredibly smart but also very humble & collaborative
Interesting business: Really complex business where you work on interesting problems; truly are never bored!
High Ownership: In my experience, most roles have a lot of ownership over business problems, meaning there's potential for really high impact

    Cons

The downside of lots of ownership & hard problems is that work-life balance can struggle. Definitely not a cultural norm that is expected, but something that comes naturally at times in some projects

I have been working at Instacart part-time

    Pros

Flexibility is ok if you’re only looking for part time work

    Cons

Instacart keeps advertising that they are looking for shoppers but I can’t seem to get any “batches” in my area. For all the hoops you have to jump through to register and then end up with no hours is annoying.

    Advice to Management

If someone applies for an area that is saturated with shoppers, they should decline them or put them on a wait list. One or two batches a week is not a full time job as touted on their ads and website.

    Pros

You get to pick your own schedule

    Cons

You don’t get paid inbetween batches and it isn’t very busy.

    Advice to Management

Need better pay. Lots of time being wasted.

I have been working at Instacart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a job that pays money.

    Cons

They deal entirely with preset questions and answers. You never deal with a person.

    Advice to Management

You try to use technology entirely except for the actual shopping which if you could have robots do, I am sure you would. No people skills here.

I have been working at Instacart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None. Not anymore. They have restructured their pay scale.

    Cons

Hard to get hours unless you can work at least 30 hours a week from the start and never, ever go on vacation or else you’ll lose early access to hours in which case you will have to fight to tooth and nail to get them.

The pay used to be pretty good but now they are paying out extremely low compensations per delivery. It’s a race to the bottom for anyone who continues to work with instacart.

    Advice to Management

Pay people a fair wage. Especially when they are using their OWN resources to do the job for YOUR company.

I have been working at Instacart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great hours and flexibility. Great for extra cash or if you want to be your own boss.

    Cons

When not busy it is not worthwhile

    Advice to Management

Try to gauge hours better and also I think we need to be paid something when not busy and told to go home early at least to compensate for the gas used.
