I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infosys (Hyderābād) in Mar 2010
Interview
Paraphernalia : Prior to 2 weeks , I got an call from the hiring team in Bangalore. It followed by 2 application forms sent to my email. One was in the format of a resume format , other was an excel sheet for capturing grade points from high school till now.I went to interview with print outs of above two and salary details.
Interview : I was given a time slot.Interview started with a panel of two persons on time. Initially one of them asked about technology for about 30 mins. Then the other person asked me about process, qa etc for another 30 mins. They too asked about my expectations from Infosys (other than salary)
The second round was from HR:Before I entered the room, the verdict was out.My initial salary was above the benchmark salary of Infosys(as it seems). So they asked me to join with a pay cut of 12% and I walked out.
This process happened at a location in New Delhi. I was rejected in the first round. Their questions were related to topics which were not mentioned in my resume. Around 30-35 candidates were there
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Infosys (Noida) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process consisted of three rounds: an initial virtual technical round, followed by a face-to-face technical round, and finally a managerial round. All the rounds were relatively straightforward, and the discussions went smoothly with no indication of any major concerns.
However, after successfully completing all three rounds, I received an unexpected rejection without any feedback or explanation. This lack of transparency and communication reflects poorly on the overall professionalism of the hiring process.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
In the technical rounds, the questions were primarily focused on basic Python concepts along with discussions around my resume and past projects. The level of difficulty was easy and aligned with my experience.
In the managerial round, the discussion was quite straightforward, covering general topics such as reasons for a job change, career goals, and overall professional outlook.
Often you get interviews not according to your background. And they will realize until the interview that the skills doesn't match, which leads to lost of time/opportunities during the time you waiting for a project
