I was applying for a software role. I met Infosys at a career fair at my university in October. I applied online, then was scheduled for an introduction call a few weeks later.
I also had a 30-minute technical interview, the interviewer was confusing and unclear, and frequently interrupted me when I was trying to answer their questions. They asked me very specific questions on languages I said I knew. These were things I could google in a minute and get the answer to but did not know off of the top of my head, so it felt like a poor way to judge my technical skills. I was told there would be a technical assessment, but it kept getting pushed back due to some technical difficulties they were having, so I never got to it.
I told them I no longer wanted to continue with the interview process after receiving a different offer. Overall, it felt like a disorganized process, and I only got through 2 of the phases in 3 months. I told my recruiter about my negative experience and they were very responsive about it, which I appreciate. However, the interview experience made me very hesitant about working for them anyways, given the poor communication and disorganization. It felt like more trouble than it was worth for me during recruiting season.
