Chatted with the CEO. It was very cordial and positive, he was faorably disposed towards hiring someone with 30 years experience. He asked me to tell him how much my contracting rate should be, and didn't haggle over the number I named.

Interview
I was contacted through a recruiter, the VPE had tried to hire me previously at one of his former companies and managed to convince me that time. The interview was non traditional, performed in tag team format due to the interview being late in the day. The interviewers were not all specialist on the language or skill set I was interviewed for but overall was cordial and high energy.
