      Vice President, Services Interview

      Nov 9, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at HubSpot (Boston, MA) in Jul 2020

      Interview

I interviewed with no fewer than 10 people, with new people being added to the process along the way. Then, in the final session, a presentation, a whole set of other people showed up, without me having been told they'd be there. When I didn't get the job, they used language that I considered to be coded to mean that I was too old for the role

      Question 1

The final ask was to put together a presentation to lay out what was essentially a business plan for a 300 person business - a huge amount of detail was provided, including excel spreadsheets. If this was a work project, it would have taken roughly two weeks to do well. I had 4 business days, during which I was working. This is a huge ask of someone to do gratis.
