      Human Resources Coordinator Interview

      Feb 18, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Cambridge, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA) in Feb 2020

      Interview

I applied and was given a one-way video interview to complete within 72 hours, where I was asked 4 questions with 60 seconds to think of a response, and 60 seconds to answer. A week later I receieved a no-reply email that my candidacy was not moving forward. This has been my experience with every position I've applied for at HubSpot, despite being more than qualified. The "video interview" is just another way to screen out applicants and brings in the opportunity for discrimination and bias based on people's appearances (race, age, gender). It's a very inhuman approach to Human Resources. Not being given the chance to speak to an actual human being is terrible practice and makes candidates feel discouraged from applying again.
