The process was outstanding, from the first time Stéphanie Gamboa contacted me it felt different from any other recruitment process I have been before. She was very helpful throughout, giving me advice and relevant information about the role and the company.
The process started with me recording myself replying to 7 questions, for this I had 30 seconds to read them and then 2:50 minutes to reply.
Exactly a week after that interview I received an email letting me know I was continuing in the process and that I was going to have a call with the recruiter, I spoke with Stéphanie for around 35 minutes and it was a pleasant experience, we spoke a lot about the role, my motivations and she gave me amazing feedback.
Less than week after I was asked for my availability for a third phone interview with a manager, this time I spoke with Aimée Banks, during this interview I was able to learn more about the role, the company and even what made her excited about working at Hubspot (Remember interviews should be a two way conversation).
A few days later I was notified that I was moving to the face to face final interview at the Hubspot offices, after confirming my availability I was sent a list of 5 task I had to complete before the interview, the day of the interview I was greeted by Stéphanie who showed me around the office and explained me how the interview was going to be like.
It started with a chat with Aimée Banks, again we spoke about the role, the team and what makes a successful new hire not good but great. She gave nothing but relevant information while still being friendly and approachable.
Then I had my second portion of the interview with Vishnu Mohanan, he is a product expert at Hubspot, during this section we discussed the tasks I was asked to complete previously, we did a bit of role play, shared a lot of useful information about the software and talked about learning and some of the things a new hire can do to be great at his job.
My final interview was with Amanda Iglesias, we had a video call as she is based in the American office, during this portion we spoke about my experience with customers and problem solving, she gave me really great information about how much the company has grown since she has been in it, we spoke about all the great things Hubspot is doing and all the potential it has.
After the interview I was very pleased with the way everyone treated me, Hubspot really cares about people and it shows a lot, I am very thankful to Stéphanie Gamboa, Aimée Banks, Vishnu Mohanan and Amanda Iglesias for making this process a great learning experience.
What I would say to people looking to apply for a position at Hubspot is to prepare well, learn as much as you can about the company, the culture code, the products and services, etc.. It doesn't hurt if you also practice with the software, get certificated by the Hubspot Academy, read their blog, and most importantly make sure yours and the company values match.
I can't wait to start my training and give my best in this position.
