First two video interviews were standard and very positive, easily established rapport, courteous, etc. I was encouraged to be selected to move forward in the process. Third round video interviewer was rude and creepy. He gets on the call and immediately says, "Ensure your video is on - I will not be utilizing mine." I was unprepared for that inequality in that an interview is a mutual evaluation imho. I deflected initially and said something along the lines of, "Oh, my MacBook is sometimes inoperable w/ MSTeams. I can turn my video off as well so we can focus on the conversation." The host said, "That won't be necessary." The interview was under 10 minutes. I found it so rude that I fumbled, as I was also getting a creep vibe, just wanted the call to end. My mind was wandering too, wondering if the guy was sitting there in a bath towel or something less. I received a canned rejection email a week or so later. I just hope the interview was maybe audited and the person coached for appropriate interview conduct so no one else encounters such. I was so excited to have been selected to interview and ended up disappointed and a bit frustrated to have wasted my time and effort.
