I applied online. I interviewed at Highmark Wholecare (Pittsburgh, PA) in Jul 2022
Interview
What happened to professional courtesy?
As a candidate, there are certain expectations recruiters and companies expect.
Why should I not expect the same courtesy when going through the interview/ hiring process?
Applied online. 3 days later received invitation to complete an online assessment. 3 weeks after that I received an email to schedule first interview. Then they rescheduled for the following week. I was supposed to interview with the director but was advised he was busy and a manager stepped in 5 mins. beforehand.
Manager is very knowledgeable and seems like a really great guy.
Interview went amazingly well from start to finish. Everything discussed seemed to be an ideal fit.
I received very positive feedback during the hr long process.
-You're exactly what we're looking for-
-Your experience is a perfect match for our team-
I stated I felt the same and was excited for the opportunity.
He advised that they were making a decision within a week or two and I would definitely hear back either way.
Then nothing, GHOSTED.
A week later I sent a follow up email to the recruiter, no response
Waited another week and left the recruiter a vm, no return call.
Yet, my online profile still shows I'm an active candidate ( now 9 weeks after applying)
Why do companies think this is an acceptable practice?
Either make an offer or don't...
Sincerely,
FRUSTRATED CANDIDATES EVERYWHERE
Interview with the Project Manager. Quick turnaround, very efficient. Employees like working for the company contributing to making impact to the society. Phone interview was setup after initial screening by the recruiter.

A couple of days after applying online, I received an email to fill a talent assessment online. Then another couple of days later, I was scheduled for a phone interview. A week later I was called on site where I had an hour long panel interview with 5 members of the team followed by half an hour interview with the manager which focused on behavioral questions.
