      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at HSBC (New York, NY) in Jun 2021

      Interview

      - 5 round long due process - Was looking for a good fit rather than pure technical prowess or industry connection - Willing to take the time to understand how working together might look like, setting expectations straight

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at HSBC

      Interview

      1. Was contact by a recruiter, a situational test was required, passed. 2. The phone screen was scheduled, recruiter FORGOT to call. I wrote an email after 30 mins of the original time, no reply. After two days, an apology was received via email, reschedule the phone call for the next week. 3. One day before the second tempted phone call time, received her phone call, ONE DAY in advance !!So before I said anything, she realized it was a mistakes, she said oh well, call you tomorrow and hanged up... 4. Finally she called, very clueless, ask background, work experience etc, then I got onsite email. Then time was set, the manager had to change, I accepted then went on site with two people, Neither of them bring business card or cared to introduce themselves, I was told one on one but showed up two, which is fine. The writing test, was interesting but people interviewed me seem indifferent. After onsite, its radio-silent, wrote to HR to check in, twice, got no replies.... Lack of basic respect, no wonder they are second tier in banking

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at HSBC (New Delhi) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Worst experience ever. Never expected this from such a large company. If they want only 1 student then why call others. And in a technical background job if you appear or qualified for hr round that means you are selected.
