I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at H&R Block (Fullerton, CA) in Dec 2013
Interview
I applied online and got a call 5-6 days later for an interview in Fullerton. I was brought in and had to wait a few minutes for my interviewer who was very nice. She asked a few questions about my customer service experience and how I handle projects then explained what the job would be like. I was then asked what office I could work, about my availability, and told when training was. Training is 3 days and 3 hours each day. They were very nice.

Question 1
Not difficult. Ask about how to deal with an irate customer or if you've ever had to deal with one. Just be positive, smile, and don't be nervous. Also asked what my major in college was and what I want to do after college.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at H&R Block (Akron, OH) in Dec 2017
Interview
The hiring and interviewing process was extremely laid back. The laid back nature of the whole thing, at least for me, helped ease a lot of anxiety I probably would have had otherwise. The interview felt more like a conversation than an interview. It didn't feel like I was being drilled with questions and then judged upon my answers. This helped me to actually be able to portray myself the way I wanted to.

Interview
Brief 1:1 interview that primarily focused on work experience and skills as well as discussing employee availability. Easy, friendly, comfortable interview that took place in a cubicle at the office I now work at. I was offered and accepted the position at the end of the interview.
