I applied online. I interviewed at H&R Block (Laurel, MD) in Dec 2014
Interview
First I had to actually apply for the position on hrblock.com. They don't start hiring until the fall for the CSP position (but they have classes for tax professionals earlier than that). Next I had to accept an interview request via email. Once I accepted the interview request I was scheduled for the interview. The application and interview scheduling processes were very quick and easy. The next steps following the interview are considerably more difficult. HR documents are sent via email. The candidate must read, sign, and send documents online and this can get to be a bit confusing. They do have a phone number to call for help that is included in the email.

Question 1
How would you handle this situation: Your client scheduled for 4:00pm arrives an hour late, your 5:00pm shows up on time and is ready to begin, and two clients walk in without appointments but you only have 3 professionals on staff?
I applied online. I interviewed at H&R Block (Colorado Springs, CO)
Interview
The first year I applied was a one on one with the District Manager. Then years after that have been different, one year was a group interview and the rest have been applying for the job and they call and do a quick phone interview. This is only if you come back year after year. You do have to apply for the position several months before you start the job.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at H&R Block (Lyons, IL) in Dec 2018
Interview
I was sent an email saying I was chosen for the CSP position and was to come to the scheduled orientations. Another meeting was scheduled to learn a little more and then two more computer hands on orientations were scheduled before the start date.
