I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Grant Thornton in Sep 2022
Interview
I was contacted by a former manager to interview for a consulting position. I was planning on moving back to the southeast (where he lives and where we worked together previously) from the bay area in about a year, so having a remote position would let me move without looking for a new job. The interview was pretty standard, and I got an offer. They offered 165 base, which I knew wasn't the top of their range. I asked for more because of my cost of living, but they said they would only do 165 since I was moving to the southeast. My plan to move was only speculative at that point, and I only mentioned it because my history with the manager. I felt I should be paid based upon my current situation since nothing else was certain, and we could adjust it when I moved, but they disagreed.
Interviews were not hard but took more than two months. Went through 4 rounds of interviews just for them to ghost me. So rude and unprofessional. Clearly they dont care about their people or people trying to join.
