      Technical Recruiter Interview

      Feb 21, 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Mountain View, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Google (Mountain View, CA) in Nov 2010

      Interview

Contacted by a staffing agency for a 1 year contract role with Google as a recruiter. I had two face to face interviews with 2 people on each occasion. They asked a lot of problem solving questions with no correct answers, they wanted to see my process for solving the problem and arriving at the answer. They want to know which Google products you use, your familiarity with their technology. Overall they were not very friendly and this was not an easy interview.

      Interview

Too many interviews. I declined to continue. If you can’t decide after multiple interviews you have a broken process. I was interviewing for a recruiter role and I didn’t want my candidates to be out in the same position.

Hey there are some great articles out there on the internet for cracking Google interviews. Please do go through this as they're really helpful. You will mostly have 3-4 sometimes 5 rounds of interviews and all of them will test a combination of skills that you've mentioned in the post above.
