I applied online. I interviewed at Geomagical Labs in Feb 2023
Interview
30 minute phone call with some technical questions. The interviewer was more focused on proving to me how smart he was rather than letting me answer his questions. Asked me how I would fix his stack without going into much detail and then shot down most of my suggestions.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Geomagical Labs (Mountain View, CA) in Jul 2022
Interview
8 hours of interviews were scheduled simultaneously, and they were all very similar. They all had some older version of my resume and didn't see the related jobs, so make sure you send each of the 8 interviewers your up-to-date resume. Only one interview was technical and was quite terrible. Open-ended questions like "design an entire app." but with rigid acceptance of specific computer science terms. Interviewer was dismissive of any questions attempting to clarify what granularity they were seeking. I could spend twenty minutes drawing out the architecture of a 3d scene-graph, the parent-child-subchild node-tree object hierarchies, but the entire answer would have been thrown out if I didn't use the word "scene graph." The entire thing was weirdly academic and I doubt was
related to any day-to-day tasks.

Interview
Good with Google meet, focus on traditional computer vision methods rather than deep learning. Required me to reason mathematical equations for 3D multi-visual geometry problem, especially for stereo vision, 3D projection, affine transformation, SfM.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
3D multi-visual geometry problem: Reasoning relationship with rotation matrix, translation vector, depth, camera intrinsic.
