Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Genentech (South San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2017
Interview
There was an online assessment, 30 minute virtual interview and an in person interview. The entire process took a long time. In person interview was 20 mins, basic questions - experience, weakness, etc. The interviewers we're very dry and not really interested in you as a person.
I was offered a position within a week with a start date 3 weeks later. One week before the start date, the date was postponed with no explanation.
Only one panel interview with several behavioral questions. It’s ok to take time between reading the question & responding. It helps to anchor to the main points in the job posting for examples
Biased and played favorites. They do not care about qualifications and quality of work. You get preferences if you have family/friends who are full time. Very unfair unorganized process overall.
